16 October 2018
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, inaugurated the new port offices at 12 Windmill Hill Road this evening.
The inauguration was also attended by the Minister with responsibility for the Port, Gilbert Licudi, as well as various other dignitaries and guests.
The Chief Minister commented that he was impressed with the new building and especially the upgraded high tech Vessel Traffic Services system which has been installed by Kongsberg Norcontrol.
This upgraded system offers the latest technology available vastly improving the GPA’s monitoring capability of British Gibraltar Territorial Waters (BGTW). The new building also offers a wonderful visual vantage point to monitor all approaches into BGTW.
