Nov 28 - Minor Quake Felt Last Night In Campo Area
A minor earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale occurred last night at around 11:00pm in the area of Manilva. The tremor was reportedly felt in Sabinillas, Estepona and in La Linea and San Roque.
Earth tremors on this scale are common and pose no risk to buildings. Nevertheless, they are powerful enough to move ornaments and furnishings at home and can cause considerable alarm.

Manilva - I was sitting on the sofa, thought someone was behind me making a joke as the heavy sofa was wobbling, I heard something metallic wobbling, my son thinks it was the metal spiral staircase at the back of the house.
Manilva - I had just got to bed and within 5 mins it wobbled for approx 3 seconds
La Duquesa - It was scary shook then a kind of a whompf sound hard to explain
Sotogrande - sitting on computor and the floor underneath was shaking the lamp on desk moving and my husbands feet were bouncing slightly, really scary my goodness. about 11.00 o’clock Spanish time, lasted 10 seconds
La Línea de la Concepción - I felt one jump followed by a few tremors...
San Roque - We are at the top of a 5 floor building, and it was shaking and wobbling; the lamps and plants were dancing for a few seconds!
La Linea - My sofa moved on its own for approx 20 seconds
Sotogrande - Sitting on the very slowly moving sofa. For 10s.
La Duquesa - Whole house shaking
Casares - Patio doors and sofa shaking
San Martin del Tesorillo - Glasses and windows rattled, nothing broken though.
Duquesa - A gentle but obvious shake.
Duquesa - We heard a bang, not shaking. Almost like a picture had dropped on the floor, flat (nothing had)
Manilva - Woken up by it
Sotogarnde - I was in Bed and the bed shook enough to wake me up, I was unsure at that time what it was.
Sotogrande - Backboard of Bed against wall was shaking for about 5 seconds and the building wall creaked
