Apr 14 - Affordable Homes Ready for Allocation
All applications submitted for the purchase of an affordable home at Mons Calpe Mews or Beach View Terraces. Although the process has taken slightly longer than originally envisaged, the Government has today said that Gibraltar Residential Properties are now in a position to commence the allocation of flats.
The first applicants will be contacted by phone or email this week for appointments to be arranged. Applicants will be called in the order of the Housing Waiting list. Once these applicants have been allocated flats, those on the Housing Waiting List after 9th December 2011 will have an opportunity to select a flat. Should any flats remain unallocated after this, then applicants who are eligible for Housing but not on the Housing Waiting List will have an opportunity. Others, such as upgraders will then be eligible for any remaining flats.
Applicants will be required to sign a reservation agreement and pay a £500 deposit by the end of the third business day after allocation of a flat.
