Jul 10 - Busy Weekend At The Naval Base

This weekend is set to be a busy one at HM Naval Base with visits from Hydrographic Survey ship HMS ENTERPRISE and Mine Hunter HMS BLYTH.

HMS ENTERPRISE is on her way to the Gulf where she will gather data to be fed into the UK Hydrographic Office which will update and produce the navigation charts used worldwide for the safe transit of international shipping.

In addition to her survey work, HMS ENTERPRISE will conduct core Royal Navy tasking, including wider regional engagement with international partner nations and allies, counter piracy patrols and maritime security operations.

Mine Hunter HMS BLYTH is heading back to the UK following a deployment as part of the Standing NATO Mine Counter Measures Group 2. Whilst in Gibraltar she will top up on fuel and supplies and her crew will have some well-earned recreational time.
