Jul 16 - Gibraltar Betting And Gaming Association “Working Closely” With Government On Power Supply Issue

The Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association (GBGA) has said that the recent power cuts experienced on the Rock are an “important issue” for the industry. In response to questions from YGTV, a spokesperson said that the association was “working closely” with the Government and Minister Albert Isola to provide industry input on the power problems.

In addition, the GBGA has also said that they will shortly be implementing a technical working group that is focused on a range of Gibraltar issues, including an ongoing review of this particular aspect of local infrastructure. The association said it will co-ordinate closely with all relevant stakeholders and will help ensure that operators “remain confident” in Gibraltar as their home jurisdiction.

The GBGA is a trade association representing nearly all of the Gibraltar based online gaming operators. It aims to provide the industry with a single voice on all the issues of importance to regulators, legislators, and key decision makers around the world.
