Sep 15 - Isola Hosts Gibraltar Day Lunch in Geneva
Minister for Financial Services, Albert Isola is this week travelling to Geneva, with a delegation of members of the Gibraltar Funds & Investments Association, amongst other financial services professionals.
A ‘Gibraltar Day’ lunch for over 150 professionals will be held tomorrow.
Minister Isola will also be the guest of honour at a dinner hosted by Bernard Droux, Managing Partner of Lombard Odier on the 15th September for guests of the Bank, which include Gibraltar firms attending the Invest 14 Forum. Gibraltar Finance together with GFIA will be attending and exhibiting at the Invest’14.
Forum on the 17th and 18th September at which Minister Isola will be making a keynote address on, “Gibraltar: The European Union jurisdiction of choice”.
Gibraltar Finance Senior Executive, Philip Canessa, will accompany the Minister to Geneva. Commenting on the visit, the Minister noted that Invest’14 was important to the Government, in order to allow them to reinforce their message to the Swiss funds and asset management industry.
He added that it ‘serves as an excellent follow up to the very successful visit by fifty Swiss financial services professionals to Gibraltar in April this year. We need to continue to raise our profile and engage professionals at every opportunity hand in hand with the private sector.’
