Oct 03 - HMS Pickle Sets Off Tomorrow
She arrived as Schooner Pickle when she first came to Gibraltar last year…tomorrow morning, she will leave the Rock as HMS Pickle with a Navy escort as she sets off for the UK.
The crew will be retracing the trip she made after the Battle of Trafalgar. In England she will be restored and it is hoped that she will return to Gibraltar when she tours the Mediterranean in years to come.
The crew of the Pickle wish to thank everyone who has helped get her seaworthy. There will be a send off party at The Ivy, Ocean Village, tonight at 8pm – everyone is welcome. HMS Pickle leaves the Rock tomorrow at 10am.
