Oct 28 - Seasonal Flu Vaccine Offered
As from Monday 3rd November, the seasonal flu vaccine will be available from the Primary Care Centre. The flu vaccine is recommended for all persons aged 65 years or over and all persons aged between 6 months and 65 years, who suffer from diseases that put them at High Risk, including those that cause breathing difficulties, heart, kidney or liver diseases, neurological conditions, stroke or a transient ischaemic attack or diabetes.
Individuals who may suffer with lower immunity or are pregnant are also advised to have the vaccine. Social and health workers, carers of elderly or disabled people and those that handle live animals and birds are also recommended to take the vaccine.
Individuals who have previously received the vaccine can collect their numbered tickets from 1.30pm to 3.30pm outside the blood clinic at the PCC.
The vaccines will be administered between 2pm and 4pm on weekdays. 
Individuals who have NOT previously received the vaccine should make an appointment with their GP to be referred to the vaccination clinic.
