Dec 03 - Eastside Development Progress – Government Narrows It Down To Six Developers
The Government says it has narrowed down the expressions of interest received for the Eastside project from seventeen to six.
The Eastside was opened out to expressions of interest from developers who wanted to build on part or on the whole of the plot. The Government said at the time that it was interested in a development which included affordable homes, a marina, a hotel, high-end residential and some commercial.
The deadline by when prospective developers had to submit details was 15 August and a total of seventeen expressions of interest were received in that time. The Government has now narrowed this number down to six.
The next step in the process is that the six remaining interested parties will be invited to make a more detailed presentation to the Government on their proposals early in the New Year.
