Jan 07 - Photography Exhibition Captures 'Moments of Daily Gibraltar Life'
Media Photographer Stephen Ignacio will host his first exhibition at Gibraltar Productions’ ‘Space 92’ in Irish Town; a unit praised for its concept of ‘cultural incubation’ previously hosted the works of successful local artist, Christian Hook.
Stephen’s exhibition will be titled ‘Our People’ and claims to ‘capture moments of daily Gibraltarian life, making them part of history’. The display will be divided into sections entitled ‘East Side’, ‘Portraits from a bench’, ‘Street life’ and ‘Our Heroes’.
Through his pieces Stephen wants to tell stories and hopes to narrate everyday life in Gibraltar. With a background in art, having completed a degree in Fine Art in 1989 at what is now the University of Wales.
Stephen now takes photographs for the media, including his own online platform Core Photography. The exhibition will be open from Monday to Friday from 9am – 5pm at 92 Irish Town.
