Jan 22 - SDGG Welcomes Llamas Appointment

The SDGG says it warmly welcomes the appointment of Michael Llamas QC as Attorney General of Gibraltar.

A statement from the party continued:

“Few can doubt Michael's talent and his commitment to Gibraltar has been demonstrated throughout the many years that he has advised successive Governments on delicate legal issues of fundamental importance to Gibraltar. Many will remember him for his involvement in high profile EU cases particularly the euro vote case where the SDGG co-operated with him from the outset.  Michael has worked tirelessly in the background over many years, often without recognition or publicity. His appointment is therefore thoroughly deserved.

“It is extremely gratifying to see a Gibraltarian holding such prestigious office and the SDGG has no doubt he will prove his worth over what will hopefully be a long and fruitful career.

“Our congratulations to Michael and his family.”
