Feb 06 - Queen's Accession to the Throne Marked by Gun Salute
An immaculately executed 21 Gun Salute was fired today by the Royal Gibraltar Regiment today to mark the 63rd anniversary of the Queen’s Accession to the throne.
The ceremony took place at Grand Battery House and the Inspecting Officer was Commander British Forces, Commodore Ian McGhie. Following the salute Commodore McGhie signed the Inspecting Officers Book and Major Gerald Fitzgerald presented him with the traditional gift of a polished Gun Casing.
