Mar 16 - Tug Sunk To Create Artificial Reef
The “Sun Swale” - an old tug - was sunk this morning off the South Mole to create an artificial reef. The project to create an underwater environment to attract fish and other marine species is the result of a collaboration between the Helping Hand Trust and GONHS.
The Trust has been involved in the creation of artificial reefs since it was founded in 1994 to support dolphin research and protection.
