Jan 26 - Government Supports Gibraltar Hockey Association Following Spanish Ban

The Government says it notes the clarification of the European Hockey Federation in respect of the ban on sporting contact between Gibraltarian and Spanish clubs.

The Government says it “fully and entirely supports the Gibraltar Hockey Association in such actions as it deems appropriate to undo this clear and unacceptable discrimination against our hockey community.”

Number Six adds that this incident shows that “once again Spain mixes politics with sport in a most inappropriate manner.”
