Aug 23 - Fun-Packed Stay And Play Celebration
The Stay and Play celebration presentation day took place this morning at the Victoria Sports Hall and Boathouse Activity Centre.
The presentation included a demonstration of sporting activities that the youngsters have been taking part in throughout the programme including an athletics and target practise skills circuit, a soft play agility circuit and the use of the Gibraltar Rhythmic Gymnastics Association Tumble Track aimed at developing movement mechanics and raising physical activity levels.
All activities have the long-term aim of developing the fitness and skills that will be required to succeed in activities organised by Special Olympics.
All participants received medals from the Minister for Sport Steven Linares.
After the practical sessions, all guests went to the Boathouse Activity Centre where a short video of highlights from this summer’s activities was shown.
