May 30 - GFA Sponsors Special Olympics Participation At Latest Football Tournament
The Gibraltar FA has today presented a cheque to Special Olympics Gibraltar to fund their participation in their latest football tournament in Italy this June.
The Gibraltar Special Olympics football team will travel to La Spieza Italy to take part in the Special Olympics Games for Inclusion XXXIII in La Spezia from the 11th to the 16th of June.
Rafael Celecia collected the cheque this morning at the Gibraltar FA on behalf of Special Olympics Gibraltar.
The GFA's Grassroots Manager Leslie Asquez, said he was delighted to be able to continue supporting the Gibraltar Special Olympics Football Team and disability football in Gibraltar as a whole:
“We are delighted to be able to fund the Gibraltar Special Olympics Football team's participation in their latest tournament. Rafael Celecia and Annie Risso and all their team at Special Olympics Gibraltar all put an amazing amount of time and effort into allowing our Special Olympics athletes and footballers to show off their skills and participate in tournaments like this all over the world. Football is a game that should be enjoyed by all, and it is important that we continue to show our support to the Special Olympics teams at all times. Disability football as a whole is an integral part of our Grassroots plans and we look forward to working together with Special Olympics Gibraltar for many years to come."
