Jun 15 - Gibraltar Reaches Final Of Special Olympics 5-A-Side Football Competition
The Gibraltar Special Olympics football team will today face Malta in the final of a 5-a-side competition in the XXXIII Special Olympics Italy National Summer Games.
Yesterday, Special Olympics Gibraltar played their last group stage competition game – a game which they needed to win or draw to be in the final.
It was a level and very competitive game. The team went out very motivated and full of energy and played some very good football resulting in a great win by one goal to nil. The goal was scored by Gibraltar captain, Lee Guerreiro.
