Aug 16 - Final Events For Summer Sports Programme

The next two weeks will see the final week of the Summer Sports & Leisure Programme sponsored by NatWest.  Next week promises to be a fun packed with Sports Train and Children’s Corner organising competitions and mini competitions in football, dodgeball, rounders and athletics where children taking part will be competing against the Sports Leaders.

Stay and play will see the youngsters swimming, playing sports as part of the Sports Train Programme and rehearsing for their Open Day which will take place on Wednesday 21st August.

The Gibraltar Hockey Association will be running their Hockey Summer Camp from Tuesday to Thursday at the Bayside Sports Centre Hockey pitches, 10am to 12noon and the Gibraltar Sailing Association will be organising their final Junior Sailing Summer School, Monday to Friday 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Next week will see Sports Train, Children’s Corner and Stay and Play for children with special needs packed with much fun and laughter, so don’t miss it. 

The now annual water fun day which marks the end of Sports Train, Children’s Corner and Stay and play will take place on Friday 23rd August 10am to 12noon.  Final presentations for the NatWest Summer Sports Prize winners will take place on Thursday 22nd August, 12noon on the main pitch.

The following week will see Stay and Play Leaders and personnel invited to the Mayor’s Parlour on Tuesday 27th August and will also see the finale of the Dance and Musical Theatre workshops which have been running throughout August. Their mini production will take place on Thursday 29th August starting at 11am in the Tercentenary Sports Hall.
