May 13 - Jyske Bank Supports Young Football Players

In connection with the UEFA Grassroots Day, Jyske Bank has made a permanent donation to the GFA. The bank has also used the opportunity to introduce a new and different kind of football – Jyske-3-Ball.

Ronaldo. Ronaldinho. Robinho. Kaka. The famous Brazilian players are able do something quite extraordinary with a football. However before they grew up – when they were just small kids – it was all just fun and entertainment in the streets of their home town. Today we know that this particular factor is the best starting point for excellent results. The more you touch the ball, the better you become.

With that in mind, Jyske Bank decided 10 years ago to introduce a new kind of football – Jyske-3-Ball – to the youngest Danish football players. The recipe is: Few kids on a small pitch, simple rules and focus on the enjoyment rather than on the results.

Jyske Bank Donates Goals To GFA

When GFA approached Jyske Bank and asked for a contribution in connection with the UEFA Grassroots Day on Saturday the 17th May, with such long tradition for supporting youth football, it seemed obvious to the bank to introduce Jyske-3-Ball to the youngest football players in Gibraltar. Jyske has therefore decided to make a permanent donation to the GFA of 12 Jyske-3-Ball goals and other football equipment that make the fun and entertaining side of football come to life.

On the 17th May young players in Gibraltar will have a chance for the first time to experience Jyske-3-Ball themselves, and organisers and sponsors say they hope to see a lot of young happy football players at Victoria Stadium.

Jyske-3-Ball Acknowledged By UEFA

Today Jyske-3-Ball is very popular all over Denmark. What started out as a Jyske Bank initiative is now a national event involving around 14,000 players each year – and organized in cooperation with the Danish Football Association. Also UEFA has acknowledged the idea by granting Jyske Bank a Grassroot Award for the Most Valuable Grassroots Football Event in 2006 and 2009.
