Jun 09 - GSLA Thanks All Those Involved In Strait Games

The Gibraltar Sports and Leisure Authority (GSLA) wishes to publicly show its appreciation to all the Sports Associations, their participants, coaches and their multitude of volunteers for the fantastic support received for the recent Strait Games.

Credit and appreciation must also go to: Urban Dance, the EC Band, The Gibraltar Re- enactment Society, The Gibraltar RAF Cadets, announcer Teresa Goncalvez and Axle Media, for the fabulous Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Thanks to all the parents, and many others, who supported the participants and attended the competitions and the Ceremonies. 

The Strait Games 2014 would not have been such a success without the support and hard work of all the persons and entities involved, which has been openly acknowledged by the other participating cities.

Thanks also to: Rock Bastion Ltd for providing all participants and coaches – a total of over 1,500 people – with picnics and a hot lunch, the Royal Gibraltar Police, St John Ambulance and transport operator, Parodytur, for their continued assistance and support. The GSLA also wish to thank the many other entities and volunteers, who gave of their free time to provide the essential logistic support for the Games.
