Jul 13 – Minister Commends Under-18 Girls’ Valiant Efforts
Following what has been a tough tournament against extremely seasoned and strong Hockey nations, the Minister for Sport, Steven Linares, would like to highlight the tremendous effort made by Under 18 Hockey squad in their participation in the EuroHockey U18 Championship III, Girls, held in Croatia.
He said: “The team has worked extremely hard in the build up to the tournament and reports point to the fact that the young team has given its all during the last week. Great credit needs to be given not only to the players but also to the coaches and technical staff. Exposure to such level of competition can only be beneficial for future participation and the girls will have benefitted massively from the experience.”
