Jul 27 – Oarsmen Excel Once Again At British Championships

The Minister for Sport, Steven Linares, wishes to congratulate Alessandro Chincotta and Liam Santiago on becoming National Champions in the Junior 15 Double Sculls event in the British Championships held in Strathclyde, Scotland.

Minister Linares said: “I am delighted to once again congratulate the Gibraltarian rowing fraternity and on this occasion the Calpe Rowing Club for their outstanding achievements. Gibraltar has always excelled at these Championships and I was confident before the event that this year would be no different. Alessandro and Liam have done Gibraltar proud however one must not forget their fellow oarsmen who also recorded notable performances.”
