Mar 12 - RAF Airfield Paint Works

Paint works will take place this weekend to update the road markings across the RAF airfield runway on Winston Churchill Avenue.

British Forces Gibraltar Contractors will carry out the upgrading works overnight on both Friday and Saturday to keep the traffic and airfield disruption to a minimum.

Weather permitting, contractors will start the line markings at 2200 on Friday 14^th March and will work until 0500 on Saturday morning. They will continue the task on Saturday 15^th March at 2200 until Sunday 16^th March at 0500.

The line markings will be finalised the following weekend on Friday the 21^st March between 2200 and 0500 on Sunday 22^nd March.

In the interest of safety the public are advised that during these times the traffic will be diverted to one lane Northbound and one lane Southbound and the North Barrier Car Park will be closed from 2000 until 0500 on Friday the 14^th and 21^st. The contractors apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
