Nov 05 - Gibraltar Maritime Administration – New Online Services
In line with the Government’s e-government commitment for the public service, Neil Costa, the Minister for the Port, is pleased to announce that the first phase of the Gibraltar Maritime Administration’s online services is now complete.
The Gibraltar Maritime Administration (GMA) now offers its clients facilities for vessel name searches and online payments.
Name Searches: this will allow users to search the availability of vessel names as well as the status of vessels on the register.
Payment of Invoices: these can be settled by credit/debit card using departmental reference numbers.
These are now live and available for use under the ‘Maritime’ portal at: https://www.egov.gi
The GMA will also be adding further services over the coming months, with yacht registration and seafarer certification related portals being developed. These will be announced in due course.
Richard Montado, Maritime Administrator stated, “This is an important step for the department, which has received unprecedented support from our Minister and is expanding in terms of resources, services and fleet growth; we have been working hard in the background to develop new systems which will allow our maritime clients greater flexibility and bring with them the highest quality service possible.”
