The GHA has taken delivery of a Luxor LX3, the latest model of surgical microscopes. This model is so new that there are only three of them in the whole of Iberia.
Chris Jenkins, the Regional Vice-President of the Commonwealth Games Federation, has been on the Rock for meetings with the Commonwealth Games Association of Gibraltar. The local Association intends to submit a bid to host the Commonwealth Games Federation General Assembly in October 2016.
The Government has said that the difficult decisions faced by the DPC at practically every meeting are now taken in public and, rightly, are fully reported by the media. Number Six says that the coverage in the local press allows the DPC’s decisions to receive wider distribution adding that it is relevant to note that not so long ago, under the GSD administration, these decisions “were taken in secret, without any minutes being published.”

Dancer and choreography Nathan Conroy is one of a generation of exciting young indigenous artists who, having gained experience away from Gibraltar, have returned to our shores, eager to share this experience with the local cultural scene. Nathan, of course, appeared in the West End spectacle Stomp! and in the opening ceremony for the London 2012 Games, and has worked with artists such as Kylie Minogue and the Spice Girls. Having no doubt initially encountered the inevitable cynical resistance upon his return to Gibraltar, Nathan went on to set up Art In Movement to present many of his ideas, revolving around dance, performance and art as a whole.
