European Commission Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, Spanish Minister for ForeignAffairs José Manuel Albares and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron, together with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, met in Brussels on Thursday 16th May.
Joining forces to commend the Government for releasing a notice seeking interest in the restoration of the grounds. Both organisations claim to have been concerned at the run down state of the grounds and the buildings, adding that it is critical ‘that any development of the site must be carefully managed within strict guidelines aimed at preserving and promoting the uniqueness and importance of the area.’
The Borders and Coastguard Agency has been awarded "Working with Investors in People" status, an Investors in People (IIP) certification that recognises the commitment made by an organisation to start working with best practice principles towards IIP accreditation. The Agency, now in its third year of operation, carried out a review of its operations at the airport, frontier and the port, highlighting a number of areas in which it is working hard to achieve a more professional, engaged and focused operation.
The GSD Opposition has today described the Motion by the Chief Minister suggesting that the Leader of the Opposition misled Parliament, as “another attempt to divert attention away from the refusal by the Chief Minister to be transparent over Credit Finance Company Limited and the £400 million of savers’ money invested in it.”
