21-year-old Carlos Romero, from Madrid, Spain and a dancer from Innovations Dance Company, took this year’s award for the most promising dancer at the 13th Gibraltar International Dance Festival. Out of the 63 soloists that participated at the festival, seven were selected by international adjudicator, Craig Bartley to perform in the grand final. Bursary finalists included dancers from Gibraltar, England and Spain as follows:
The Minister for Culture, Steven Linares, says he is delighted to announce that the artworks submitted to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition by local artists Karl Ullger and Shane Dalmedo, have qualified for the next round in the pre-selection.
