The opening night of the Tradewise Gibraltar International Chess Festival is always hectic – arrival, registration and of course catching up with old friends. This year it felt extra special as the festival prepares to celebrate its 15th birthday.
Yesterday afternoon, RGP Marine Section personnel recovered a stolen Yamaha Wave Runner Jet Ski whilst on a routine a patrol that culminated in a high speed sea chase.
This coming Saturday 28th January marks Data Protection Day, an annual event celebrated internationally which commemorates the importance of privacy and data protection.
The Gibraltar Honours Board will meet in April 2017 under the Chairmanship of His Excellency the Governor to consider:
1: Nominations to be put forward for the New Year Honours List 2018
2: Nominations for the Gibraltar Award, which are decided locally and will be announced in the Queen’s Birthday List 2017.
