The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
The GGCA Committee is supporting the GGCA President, Wendy Cumming, in her upcoming 3 Peaks Challenge for RifCom, a local charity. RifCom’s main aim is to make a positive contribution to the impoverished region of the Rif Mountains in Northern Morocco and projects and initiatives are undertaken in education, health, sport, cultural exchange and environmental conservation. The GGCA has pledged a £350 donation to this cause.

Officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police have arrested four men on suspicion of kidnapping. The arrest took place yesterday evening after officers observed how a 19 year old local man was forced into a locally registered car on Line Wall Road.
