The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).
Cancer Research has held a Think Pink Day for the past 10 years; this year’s event will take place on Friday 2 October. The organisers are keen to encourage as many people as possible to wear an item of pink clothing on this day in order to create increased awareness of breast cancer and therefore improve early detection and treatment. The charity would also like to encourage employers to support the day by allowing employees to wear pink on the day. The organisers trust that the public will respond as positively as they always do.
The GSD has this evening presented its slate of ten candidates for this year’s general election. Only party leader Daniel Feetham and current MP Edwin Reyes remain from the party’s current parliamentary team.
