Nov 16 - Round Table Gibraltar Hosts Charity Poker Night
A charity poker night will be held on Saturday evening in aid of the Royal Gibraltar Police’s charity initiative “Get Safe Online”.
Organisers Round Table Gibraltar is seeking for more poker players willing to try their luck at the event held at the Calpe Rowing Club as from 6.45pm.
The winners will receive prizes donated from local businesses while raising funds for charity.
Last year the event raised more than £1,000 for Calpe House in London, while this year the money will go towards “Get Safe Online”, a UK-based non-profit organisation which seeks to raise awareness and safety online. It aims specifically at protecting children, the public and businesses from online abuse and dangers.
Get Safe Online will be providing Gibraltar, through the Royal Gibraltar Police a whole array of benefits including access to resources advice, monthly awareness campaigns and community training sessions.
The event costs £30 per head with tapas and buy-in included.
