Childline Gibraltar will be hosting a course from 22-24 May 2017 to train up facilitators to run parenting courses which are age and need-specific. There are some places open to the general public.
April is the month for Autism Awareness and local charity Autism Support Gibraltar have donated two iPads and an Interactive Smart Table to St Martin’s School.
The Trustees of the Gibraltar Samaritans say that they were “grateful and humbled” that the sons of the late Maurice Xiberras chose to donate money collected at his funeral to the charity.
Despite various obstacles during the several months of planning - first the change of start time due to a parade down Main Street, then the severe weather warnings and finally the closure of the Nature Reserve on the eve of the event, the organisers, MH Bland and Deloitte, held their breath as they waited for the decision from the Department of Environment on whether to reopen the Nature Reserve or not - at 8.30am on Saturday the call was received and the 2017 Walk to the Top of the Rock was good to go!
