Oct 26 - Man Jailed For Eight Months For Fraud
A locally employed British national resident in Spain has been jailed for eight months for fraud.
Paul Stamper, who was arrested by RGP Fraud Squad officers on 25th August and has been on remand since, pleaded guilty on the 26th August to three counts of Fraud by Abuse of Position.
The charges relate to when Stamper was working as an employee of BFA.
He was sentenced to 12 months, six months and six months imprisonment respectively for each of the counts, all counts to run concurrently. Because of his early guilty plea Stamper received a discount of a third of the sentences, meaning his sentences have been reduced to eight, four and four months respectively to run concurrently.
Stamper is said to have made a cosmetic gain to the value of £12,373 for the first count; £419 for the second count and exposed the company to a loss of £4,930 for the third count.
