Local Woman Charged With Possessing, Taking/Making And Distribution Of Indecent Photographs Of Children

A local woman will be appearing before the Magistrates’ Court this morning, charged with offences relating to Indecent Photographs of Children.
A statement from the RGP follows below:
35 year old Sarah-Anne Mary NOGUERA will be appearing before the Magistrates’ Court this morning, charged with offences relating to Indecent Photographs of Children.
The charges follow an extensive investigation by detectives from the RGP’s Online Child Abuse Investigation Team (OCAIT), which is part of the wider RGP Public Protection Unit, and detectives from the RGP Digital Forensics Unit. The investigation was launched in June 2025, when the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMCE) received online reports concerning the uploading of several indecent images of children through a messaging application.
During the course of the investigation, detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in Devil’s Tower Road, where several electronic devices were seized. NOGUERA was arrested later that same day on suspicion of Possession of Indecent Images of Children and Taking/Publishing Indecent Images of Children.
Following the results of extensive device analysis by the RGP Digital Forensics Unit, NOGURERA was additionally arrested yesterday on suspicion of further offences, including the taking/publishing of indecent images of children, and the possession of extreme pornography.
She was interviewed throughout the course of yesterday and was charged as follows:
∙ Three counts of Unlawful Possession of Indecent Photographs of Children
∙ Three counts of Distributing an Indecent Photograph of a Child to another person
∙ One count of Taking/Making Indecent Photographs of Children
∙ One count of Possession of a Moving Image depicting extreme pornography.
NOGUERA remained in police custody overnight and will appear before the Magistrates’ Court today.
A spokesperson from the RGP’s Public Protection Unit said: “This investigation and the charges that have been preferred are the latest example of the RGP’s commitment to protect children from any type of exploitation. Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults remains a top priority for the RGP, and these charges should reassure our community of the effectiveness of on-line monitoring, partnership work both locally and overseas, and the digital forensics and detective work that is undertaken by dedicated professionals to uncover and pursue these complex, sensitive and abhorrent crimes.”
