The GFA’s Chief Medical Officers Dr. Nathan Chichon, along with the National team’s physiotherapist, Iain Latin, have just returned from UEFA’s 6^th Medical Symposium which was held in Madrid.

Nathan and Iain took this opportunity to enhance their profile and reputation amongst their peers in the UEFA medical family as well as returning with the knowledge and ideas on what is needed to ensure the Gibraltar FA’s Medical Department continues to meet the standards expected by UEFA.

Commenting on the experience, the men noted that the quality of speakers and subjects covered was of the highest standard. They added, ‘In addition to this everyone we have met has been extremely welcoming. We have made some very useful contacts and friends in various medical associations such as the Faroe Islands, Cyprus, ROI and England, as well as Eva from Chelsea FC who also attended.’

The GFA also announced the release of tickets for the two upcoming friendlies between the GFA and Estonia and the Faroe Islands in March. These will go on sale as from Monday 10^th February at 10am and will be priced at £20, £15 and £10. Tickets are available from the GFA’s Headquarters at The Boat House beside the Bayside Sports Complex.
