OTWO Hosts ‘Back to Print’ Presentation in Gibraltar

OTWO, a Gibraltar-based communication platform with its own magazine, podcast, events, and community initiatives, held its “Back to Print” presentation event at the GFSB Conference Room on 7 May. The evening marked the magazine’s return to print while highlighting OTWO’s journey and its continued focus on sustainability through storytelling, collaboration, and action.
The evening opened with a welcome from OTWO’s Managing Director and Editor-In-Chief, Vanessa Byrne. In her address, she shared the personal origins of the magazine:
“OTWO was born out of love—for our children and for the generations that follow. It began as a response to what I saw happening in the world and the urgent need to talk about it. The name OTWO comes from oxygen—O2— because it’s essential, just like communication is in tackling climate challenges. Sustainability doesn’t recognise borders, so we publish in both English and Spanish.”
Vanessa recounted OTWO’s timeline: its launch in print in 2019, the shift to digital in 2020 during the pandemic, and its evolution into a platform that not only publishes articles but also organises events—from cycling campaigns to eco festivals—bringing people together around environmental causes.
The presentation featured contributions from OTWO team members: Creative Director Juanjo Trujillo, Marketing Manager Margarita Haiduk, and Social Media Manager Emily Rumble. The audience also heard from several OTWO collaborators and partners, each sharing how they are contributing to sustainability through their own projects.
These included:
- Gibraltar Netball Association and the Sustainable Transport Action Group
- Gibraltar Horticultural Society, represented by Chairperson Annabelle
Mor-Codali - Los Locos del Parque, with President Eladio Bracho
- ASILE Ltd, presented by Managing Director Carlito Buhagiar
- Sustainabuild Ltd, with Candice Marsh and Alvaro Mena
- Anthony W. Pitaluga M.B.E., Travel Columnist
- PwC, represented by Patricia Linares and
- Clubhouse Minds, with Gema Moreno and Brandon Ainsworth
- Robyn Payas Whole Wild World Charity, with Co-Founder Jessica Leaper
Videos from partners unable to attend were also shown, showcasing the shared vision across sectors.
The event reaffirmed OTWO’s role as a bridge for environmental dialogue in Gibraltar and beyond, highlighting the importance of collaboration, clear communication, and community action in the face of global challenges.
