Gibraltar Becomes Formal Member Of Academy Of Urbanism

Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry for Culture is pleased to announce its formal membership to the Academy of Urbanism, an international network that uses best practice from urban design to better understand how the development and management of towns and cities can provide a better quality of living for all.
A statement from GCS follows below:
This membership marks an important milestone in GCS’s ongoing efforts to enhance the urban environment, preserve Gibraltarian cultural identity, and engage with global best practices.
The Academy of Urbanism brings together thought leaders, urban professionals, city-makers, and communities across Europe and beyond. As a member, Gibraltar gains access to a rich network of experts, learning programmes, and events that provide invaluable opportunities to share our unique experiences and learn from successful case studies in urbanism. This platform will allow Gibraltar to showcase its distinctive heritage, its blend of cultures, and the innovative ways in which we are addressing challenges.
This collaboration will also enable Gibraltar to actively participate in the Academy’s future programme of events and thematic workshops. Most importantly, this membership will amplify Gibraltar’s voice on the international stage offering an ideal platform for promoting Gibraltar’s identity, heritage, and vision for the future.
