The third Gibraltar International Jazz Festival offered yesterday night its two first concerts with Eliane Elias as the main artist on the stage. The Brazilian pianist/singer started off a memorable evening managing to impress the audience from the very first moment.

She displayed her world-class talent with her band which provided the perfect accompaniment. The climax was when the Jazz trumpeter and composer Randy Brecker joined them on the stage.

Prior to Eliane Elias’ performance, the crowd at the Queen’s Cinema enjoyed some quality music courtesy of the George Posso Trio and friends.

Tonight’s concert at the Queen’s Cinema features Levanter Breeze and the Soul Mates. Saturday will see the Massias/Galiardo Collective Band and Fillet O Soul featuring Mica Paris, Omar and Madeleine Bell. 

The Box Office will be open at 7pm for those who haven’t bought their tickets yet.
