The Gibraltar Museum has announced the next lecture in its series. This will be the first time that the Christmas Lecture will be delivered, an innovation that is hoped will become a tradition in years to come.
The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia this afternoon presented the First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones AM with a glass cut model of the Rock, during a working lunch between the Welsh Government and the visiting Gibraltar Government delegation in Cardiff. Due to an unexpected family medical emergency, the Chief Minister was unable to travel to Wales at the last minute and remains in Gibraltar.
The Gibraltar National Dance Team (GNDO) has returned to the Rock after representing Gibraltar at the World Showdance Championships. The event was staged at the Sachsen Arena, in Riesa, Germany, with 3,255 dancers from 26 countries, and five continents taking part. The event was organised for the renowned world governing body the International Dance Organisation (IDO), this year being extra special, as the IDO celebrated 20 years in Riesa.
Christmas Jumper Day will be held on Friday 16th December to help raise funds for Save the Children.

Past: A Memoir is the title of a new book by Gibraltarian author M. G. Sanchez. The book is biographical in nature and focuses both on his family history and the events back in July, 2013, when his father collapsed and died while cycling on the Spanish side of the border.
Following on from its inaugural series held earlier this year, the University of Gibraltar has announced the launch of its second series of the Gibraltar History Lectures.
