Due to urgent remedial works required at the RGP’s Central Police Station in Irish Town a temporary Police Office will be set up in what used to be the Housing Reporting Office at the Northern side of the City Hall at John Mackintosh Square.

An article penned in weekly Conservative magazine ‘The Spectator’ this week follows a former institution that once bound together the Spanish and Gibraltar, namely the Royal Calpe Hunt. The magazine noted that the hunt proved ‘an outstanding example of the friendly cooperation between Gibraltar and Spain which sadly no longer exists’.
In line with the Government’s manifesto commitment to regulate fishing, diving and other marine activities in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters (BGTW), the Government has today published the Marine Protection Regulations 2014 as well as the Tuna Preservation Regulations 2014 with the latter regulations specifically catering for the regulation of tuna fishing activities in BGTW. A number of other related enabling regulations have also been published.
