Aug 08 - 93% Say Gibraltar “Is Spanish” – Shock Result In Telegraph Poll
08 August 2013
An online poll hosted on the Daily Telegraph’s website asking people whether Gibraltar is British or Spanish is currently indicating that an overwhelming majority believe the British overseas self-governing territory to be Spanish.
A whopping 242,000 votes have been registered so far with 93% (that is, over 220,000) expressing the opinion that Gibraltar is Spanish.
There are no claims as to the accuracy or otherwise of the poll but there are reports that a link to the voting page was passed on as part of a chain letter campaign urging Spanish people to vote.
