Sep 19 The Opposition Meets Unite Union
19 September 2013
Members of the GSD Opposition met last week with the district committee of Unite the Union as part of their ongoing policy of outreach engagement with all members and sectors of the community.
The GSD can report that the meeting had an open agenda and was very fruitful.
All relevant employment-related matters were discussed in what was a frank and open exchange of views among those present. Issues discussed included youth training, short-term contracts, private sector pensions, health & safety and the ETB.
The Opposition looks forward to pursuing these contacts with Unite the Union in the future and will be meeting on a quarterly basis.
