Oct 11 - Picardo Meets With British UN Ambassador

Immediately after his speech at the UN, the Chief Minister held a meeting with Sir Mark Lyall Grant, the British Ambassador to the UN at which Mr Picardo briefed the Ambassador on the current issues affecting Gibraltar.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia, Minister Gilbert Licudi and the Chief Secretary, Ernest Gomez. The meeting was described as being ‘very friendly and positive.’
Before his return flight to Heathrow and on to Gibraltar, the Chief Minister held further business and political meetings in New York and he did a number of television, radio and newspaper interviews with the American press.
