Oct 21 - Ashley Fox To Visit The Rock
Local South West Conservative MEP, Ashley Fox, is to visit Gibraltar from Sunday 27th to Tuesday 29th October. Gibraltar, which forms part of the South West of England region for the purpose of European Elections, has been represented by Mr Fox since 2009.
"I am well aware of the tremendous pressure that Gibraltar has endured in the face of Spanish hostility, but true to its nickname the Rock and its people have stood resolute against this latest harassment," said Mr Fox.
Amongst Mr Fox's many commitments he will be meeting with the Chief Minister, the Acting Police Commissioner, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, and the Environmental and Safety Group.
"Although I will be meeting with representatives of the Government, the Police and local businesses, I also want to hear from local people about what the last few months have been like for them," commented Mr Fox.
With this aim in mind, Mr Fox has booked a meeting room at the Mackintosh Hall on Monday (28th) from 6-7.30pm for a community questions and answers session. If you would like to attend then please register with his office on: [email protected]
