A statement from the RGP follows below:
The Royal Gibraltar Police (RGP) is pleased to report that yesterday’s National Day policing and security operation was a success, thanks to the public's cooperation and assistance. The day's festivities proceeded with a low number of incidents, a testament to the community's positive engagement with the various teams of officers on duty throughout the day.
During the 24h National Day period, the RGP received a total of 24 calls for services, no event related anti-social behaviour/disorder incidents and effected a total of 4 arrests. Of these arrests, 3 were related to National Day events. Notably, there were no recorded Road Traffic Collisions.
The RGP wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to the public for their support and cooperation, yesterday's events' organisers, and the various commanders and policing teams on duty throughout the day, all of which collectively contributed towards ensuring a safe and enjoyable day for all the community.
