The Environmental Agency is carrying out additional bathing-water sampling at Eastern Beach today.

A statement from the Government follows below:

The Environmental Agency is carrying out additional bathing-water sampling at Eastern Beach today and tomorrow, supplementing the routine monitoring already in place. 

All results to date show no indication that water quality at Eastern Beach has been affected by sewage discharges in La Línea. 

We will continue enhanced sampling as a precaution and will inform the public immediately if any results indicate a change.
