2026 – Marble Arc
The competition has grown into an important annual event that demonstrates how businesses can play a meaningful role in promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility. The purpose of the competition extends far beyond creating attractive displays. It serves as a reminder that environmental sustainability should remain at the forefront of decision-making across all sectors of society. Whether designing a shop window, developing business policies, launching new products, or planning future growth, sustainability should be a key consideration. Through creative displays, businesses have the opportunity to engage the public, spark conversations, and inspire positive environmental action.
OTWO and GFSB firmly believe that creating a sustainable future requires collective effort from businesses, organisations, government bodies, and the wider community. The Shop Window Competition provides an accessible and engaging platform for businesses to demonstrate their commitment to these shared goals.
The World Environment Day Shop Window Competition is delivered through a successful partnership between OTWO and GFSB, combining their shared commitment to supporting local businesses while encouraging environmental responsibility throughout Gibraltar.
The competition remains free to enter, ensuring that businesses of all sizes can participate and contribute to raising awareness of sustainability issues within the community.
In addition to the positive exposure associated with the competition, participants have the opportunity to win a range of valuable prizes. These prizes are designed to reward creativity while supporting local businesses and amplifying their sustainability message.
OTWO and GFSB encourage all businesses in Main Street and beyond to take part in next year's competition. Participation is completely free, provides excellent marketing opportunities, and offers businesses a chance to place sustainability at the centre of their public engagement efforts.
We are immensely grateful to every business that entered this year's competition and helped make it another successful celebration of World Environment Day. The creativity, innovation, and commitment demonstrated by participants continue to inspire the wider community and reinforce the importance of building a more sustainable future for Gibraltar.
As we celebrate another successful year, we look forward to seeing even more businesses embrace the challenge in 2027 and continue the conversation around environmental responsibility, innovation, and sustainable business practices.
