June 03 - Picardo Chats to Michael Portillo
03 June 2013
Last week, Chief Minister Fabian Picardo was interviewed and filmed by the BBC, as part of Michael Portillo’s show, Great Continental Railway Journeys, which is based on Michael Portillo’s 1913 copy of Bradshaw's Continental Railway Guide. Mr. Picardo chatted to Mr. Portillo on the airport runway about the History of Gibraltar.
In 1913, George Bradshaw travelled by rail from the north coast of Spain to Algeciras and then, having spent a day on the Rock, he included a chapter on Gibraltar in his Railway Guide.
