Sep 19 - Finance Centre Represents Gibraltar at FERMA
The Finance Centre Department will be exhibiting at the Federation of European Risk Management Associations (“FERMA”) biennial Forum in Maastricht from 29 September to 2 October. The FERMA Forum is the largest European exhibition of
service providers of risk management and insurance services for risk managers and will be attended by over 1,500 risk professionals from around the world.
Michael Ashton, Senior Finance Centre Executive will be accompanied by Joanne Martinez and Nadiuska Segovia from the Finance Centre Department, representatives from Gibraltar’s insurance sector will be joining the team from the Finance Centre Department.
Commenting, Financial Services Minister Albert Isola noted, ‘this is the fourth insurance conference that the Finance Centre Department will attend in 2013 and is an important part of the Government’s increased commitment to the financial services sector. The insurance sector continues to grow with total gross premium income written by all Gibraltar insurance companies increasing from 2011 to 2012, in particular, non-life business increased by 11% to £3 billion. This increase is very encouraging and clearly demonstrates the wider insurance community’s confidence in Gibraltar as a well regulated and attractive insurance jurisdiction within the European Union.’
