Commenting on leaving Gibraltar, for Wing Commander Holland explained, ‘I have been here over two years and I’ve had a fantastic time. We have seen a lot of changes going on at the airfield and my main job while I was here was to implement the Strategic Defence Review Transformation Programme which has meant we have reduced the RAF manpower here down to the new operating model and although we have reduced the number of RAF personnel we have kept the capability through employing local people and contracting out some services.’
